  • Titan's WrathProvides protection when its conditions are met.
  • RiptideCan slow a target to prepare the next action.

What can go wrong

  • Dredge LinePractise the hit area and target conditions first. Do not spend the rest of your rotation automatically when the opening damage misses.
  • Titan's WrathMatch the protective effect to the moment damage arrives. Read who it protects and how long it lasts before relying on it.
  • A completed combo is only useful when your position, resources and follow-up are safe.

Abilities & tips

Open an ability to read its effect and a practical use tip.

PStaggering Blow

Nautilus' first Attack against a target deals increased physical damage and roots them briefly.

Use it well

Use this control to create a follow-up window. Check the target’s defensive spells and your teammates’ range before committing.

QDredge Line

Nautilus hurls his anchor forward. Colliding with an enemy pulls them and Nautilus together, dealing magic damage. Colliding with terrain pulls Nautilus towards it.

Use it well

Practise the hit area and target conditions first. Do not spend the rest of your rotation automatically when the opening damage misses.

WTitan's Wrath

Nautilus gains a temporary Shield. While it persists, his Attacks deal damage over time to his target and surrounding enemies.

Use it well

Match the protective effect to the moment damage arrives. Read who it protects and how long it lasts before relying on it.

ERiptide

Nautilus creates three exploding waves around himself. Each explosion damages and slows enemies.

Use it well

Use the slow to make the next action easier. It does not replace checking distance, cooldowns and an escape route.

RDepth Charge

Nautilus fires a shockwave into the earth that chases an opponent. This shockwave rips up the earth above it, knocking enemies into the air. When it reaches the opponent, the shockwave erupts, knocking his target into the air and stunning them.

Use it well

Use this control to create a follow-up window. Check the target’s defensive spells and your teammates’ range before committing.

Nautilus combos: execution and timing

AA = basic attack · EAA = empowered attack · 1/2/3 = cast stage. Follow the order, not instant key presses.

Spell and attack trade: Dredge Line

  1. AA
  2. Dredge LineQ
  3. RiptideE

With Nautilus, start with Basic attack, then continue through Dredge Line → Riptide. Use this exercise to watch Staggering Blow while performing the shown actions. Check when its effect becomes available rather than assuming every attack has the same result.

Mistake to avoid : Do not assume the same damage, control or follow-up when the required indicator is missing.

Follow up with Dredge Line

  1. Dredge LineQ
  2. AA
  3. Titan's WrathW
  4. RiptideE
  5. AA

Game plan by role

Nautilus · Support
Early game

Stand where you can help your lane partner without exposing both of you. Coordinate the opening before spending your main control or protection.

Mid game

Set up vision with nearby allies rather than walking into unlit areas alone. Roam when your lane partner can safely handle the next wave.

Teamfights

Choose between creating an opening and protecting the teammate who can carry the fight. Do not spend every defensive spell on the first visible enemy.

Before your next fight, check: Dredge Line · Depth Charge · Combos

06

Matchup preparation

Compare opponents in the build for the role you are actually playing. Then check their key control, escape and defensive spells before choosing your trade.

07

Practice checklist

  1. Cast each ability alone and identify its range, target conditions and stopping point.
  2. Practise the first sequence slowly. Repeat it while moving, without skipping the conditions shown on its card.
  3. After each attempt, identify the spell you would still have available to defend or retreat.
