Tools to play around

What can go wrong

  • Five Point StrikePractise the hit area and target conditions first. Do not spend the rest of your rotation automatically when the opening damage misses.
  • Twilight ShroudCheck how the hidden state ends and what can reveal you. Choose a route before relying on concealment to approach or escape.
  • A completed combo is only useful when your position, resources and follow-up are safe.

Abilities & tips

Open an ability to read its effect and a practical use tip.

PAssassin's Mark

Dealing spell damage to a champion creates a ring of energy around them. Exiting that ring empowers Akali's next Attack with bonus range and damage.

Use it well

Watch the activation condition and attack timing. Practise the empowered action separately so it is not lost during a rushed sequence.

QFive Point Strike

Akali throws out five kunai, dealing damage based on her bonus Attack Damage and Ability Power and slowing.

Use it well

Practise the hit area and target conditions first. Do not spend the rest of your rotation automatically when the opening damage misses.

WTwilight Shroud

Akali drops a cover of smoke and briefly gains Move Speed. While inside the shroud, Akali becomes invisible and unable to be selected by enemy spells and attacks. Attacking or using abilities will briefly reveal her.

Use it well

Check how the hidden state ends and what can reveal you. Choose a route before relying on concealment to approach or escape.

EShuriken Flip

Flip backward and fire a shuriken forward, dealing magic damage. The first enemy or smoke cloud hit is marked. Re-cast to dash to the marked target, dealing additional damage.

Use it well

Practise the hit area and target conditions first. Do not spend the rest of your rotation automatically when the opening damage misses.

RPerfect Execution

Akali leaps in a direction, damaging enemies she strikes. Re-cast: Akali dashes in a direction, executing all enemies she strikes.

Use it well

Read the effect and its conditions, then practise it alone. Build your sequence around the effect you can reliably reproduce.

Akali combos: execution and timing

AA = basic attack · EAA = empowered attack · 1/2/3 = cast stage. Follow the order, not instant key presses.

  5. AA

With Akali, start with Five Point Strike, then continue through Basic attack → Shuriken Flip → Shuriken Flip → Basic attack. Alternate the shown spells and attacks to use Assassin's Mark. Check that each attack lands rather than pressing the whole sequence at once.

Mistake to avoid : Moving or casting too early can remove the attack you were trying to fit between spells.

Repeated spells may need a recast window or a cooldown; check that the next activation is actually available.

Game plan by role

Akali · Mid
Early game

Use the wave to control when trades happen. Keep a defensive option if the opposing jungler is missing, and avoid forcing a combo into a large enemy wave.

Mid game

Move after checking the wave, vision and who can follow. A useful roam should not cost several uncontested waves for no clear opportunity.

Teamfights

Fight from a position where you can repeat your useful spells. Look for an opening after enemy control is spent instead of entering first by habit.

Akali · Top
Early game

Keep trades short until you understand the opponent’s main cooldown. Check the minion wave before chasing and preserve a route back to your tower.

Mid game

Decide between a side-lane push and joining the next objective. Push only as far as your vision and teammate positions allow.

Teamfights

Agree on your job before the fight: pressure a side, threaten a target or protect a carry. Save a key defensive tool when the enemy can turn on you.

Before your next fight, check: Five Point Strike · Perfect Execution · Combos

06

Matchup preparation

Compare opponents in the build for the role you are actually playing. Then check their key control, escape and defensive spells before choosing your trade.

07

Practice checklist

  1. Cast each ability alone and identify its range, target conditions and stopping point.
  2. Practise the first sequence slowly. Repeat it while moving, without skipping the conditions shown on its card.
  3. After each attempt, identify the spell you would still have available to defend or retreat.
