Tools to play around

What can go wrong

  • Breath of LightPractise the hit area and target conditions first. Do not spend the rest of your rotation automatically when the opening damage misses.
  • SingularityRead the effect and its conditions, then practise it alone. Build your sequence around the effect you can reliably reproduce.
  • A completed combo is only useful when your position, resources and follow-up are safe.

Abilities & tips

PCosmic Creator

Aurelion Sol's damaging Abilities break down enemies into stacks of Stardust, which permanently improves each of his abilities.

Use it well

Read the effect and its conditions, then practise it alone. Build your sequence around the effect you can reliably reproduce.

QBreath of Light

Aurelion Sol channels his dragon breath for a few seconds, damaging the first enemy hit and splashing reduced damage onto nearby enemies. Each second the breath is channeled directly at an enemy will deal bonus damage, which is improved by the amount of Stardust that's been collected. This ability collects Stardust if the target is a champion.

Use it well

Practise the hit area and target conditions first. Do not spend the rest of your rotation automatically when the opening damage misses.

WAstral Flight

Aurelion Sol flies over terrain in a targeted direction. While in this state, he can cast other abilities. Breath of Light no longer has a cooldown or maximum channel duration and deals increased damage while flying. Astral Flight's remaining cooldown is reduced whenever an enemy champion dies after being recently damaged by Aurelion Sol. Stardust increases Astral Flight's maximum range.

Use it well

Practise the hit area and target conditions first. Do not spend the rest of your rotation automatically when the opening damage misses.

ESingularity

Aurelion Sol summons a black hole, damaging enemies and slowly pulling them toward its center. This ability grants Stardust each time an enemy dies within the black hole and for each second an enemy champion is caught inside it. The center of the black hole executes enemies who are below a certain percentage of their maximum health. Stardust increases Singularity's area as well as the execution threshold.

Use it well

Read the effect and its conditions, then practise it alone. Build your sequence around the effect you can reliably reproduce.

RFalling Star / The Skies Descend

Falling Star: Aurelion Sol crashes a star into the earth. This impact deals magic damage and stuns enemies while also granting Stardust for each enemy champion it hits. Gathering enough Stardust transforms Aurelion Sol's next Falling Star into The Skies Descend. The Skies Descend: Aurelion Sol drags a giant star down from the heavens with an increased impact zone and increased damage, knocking up enemies rather than stunning them. A shockwave then spreads from the edge of the impact zone, which damages and slows the enemies it hits. Stardust increases the impact area of both Falling Star and The Skies Descend.

Use it well

Use this control to create a follow-up window. Check the target’s defensive spells and your teammates’ range before committing.

Aurelion Sol combos: execution and timing

AA = basic attack · EAA = empowered attack · 1/2/3 = cast stage. Follow the order, not instant key presses.

Include Falling Star / The Skies Descend in the rotation

  1. SingularityE
  2. Falling Star / The Skies DescendR

With Aurelion Sol, start with Singularity, then continue through Falling Star / The Skies Descend. Choose a position that lets Singularity work without losing your retreat. Check the next target’s range before following the sequence.

Mistake to avoid : Do not turn a safe exchange into an unsupported chase just to finish the displayed sequence.

Follow up with Singularity

  1. SingularityE
  2. Breath of LightQ

With Aurelion Sol, start with Singularity, then continue through Breath of Light. Give Breath of Light time to produce its effect. Train the required positioning before adding the other actions.

Mistake to avoid : Avoid an action that interrupts Breath of Light; a quick rotation is not useful if the important effect never finishes.

Game plan by role

Aurelion Sol · Mid
Early game

Use the wave to control when trades happen. Keep a defensive option if the opposing jungler is missing, and avoid forcing a combo into a large enemy wave.

Mid game

Move after checking the wave, vision and who can follow. A useful roam should not cost several uncontested waves for no clear opportunity.

Teamfights

Fight from a position where you can repeat your useful spells. Look for an opening after enemy control is spent instead of entering first by habit.

Before your next fight, check: Breath of Light · Falling Star / The Skies Descend · Combos

Aurelion Sol · Bot
Early game

Coordinate trades with your support and keep last hits consistent. Stand where you can attack without stepping into both enemy players’ threat range.

Mid game

Collect safe farm while staying close enough to join your team. Check the map before crossing an exposed side lane for one more wave.

Teamfights

Keep dealing damage to an accessible target while tracking enemy engage tools. A safer sustained position is often better than chasing a distant carry.

Before your next fight, check: Breath of Light · Falling Star / The Skies Descend · Combos

06

Matchup preparation

Compare opponents in the build for the role you are actually playing. Then check their key control, escape and defensive spells before choosing your trade.

07

Practice checklist

  1. Cast each ability alone and identify its range, target conditions and stopping point.
  2. Practise the first sequence slowly. Repeat it while moving, without skipping the conditions shown on its card.
  3. After each attempt, identify the spell you would still have available to defend or retreat.
